So I found a site that does a subscription box for your period- it sends you basics like hygiene products, pain medication as well as snacks and pampering stuff to make you feel good,
but the best thing is they have a specialty boxes, like vegan or kosher only snacks but also

For the past few days, my mom has been travelling from home and our old home (1.5 hours away) to go to check on my mooshum (grandpa in Cree). His leg ulcer became infected. My mom took him to the emergency where they sent him home promising my mom he would get IV antiobiotics (for reasons he can’t take oral medication) and staying there the overnight.
When it finally hit me, I started to sob. My uncle cian who had schizophrenia was sent home 4 times and turned away from his doctor before he passed away from medication complications. My dad spent over a year in the hospital with severe health problems and they tried turning him away in the emergency.. Thankfully, my cousins and I helped my dad stay the night. I stayed by his side…
They sent my mooshum home and over the course of that time… his fever had gotten worse, he has septicaemia and he has signs of gangrene. Plus they didn’t “get the order” to send a nurse to change his bandages. My mom finally got him back into the hospital and spoke to the staff.
All the native men in my life have been in critical condition or have passed away due to neglect and mistreatment.
The asked amount will help my mom pay for travel expenses to be by my mooshum’s side and to help my mooshum post-care.

Update: my mom and my nanny had told me they sent him to a different hospital in the city where the surgeon he needs will be there. They are redoing tests they already performed on him at the other hospital. They found out he’s pre-diabetic. They will be scraping off dead skin from his ulcer and sampling his bone to make sure the infection didn’t spread (from what I got). He’s more alert and his fever has been stabilized.
I wanted to point out he’s a fearless survivor from the 60s scoop. The 60s scoop is an era where Indigenous children were taken by the government to be adopted by whites families or fostered. My mooshum jumped from foster family to foster family. He went through obstacles and abuse. His whole life he fought and had became very conflicted from the 60s scoop reconciliation.

^spot on! when it comes to the mistreatment of illegal immigrants, your stance on immigration shouldn’t even matter. at the end of the day they are still people who deserve to be just as safe and protected as anyone else.
There is help you can get when you’re an immigrant facing domestic violence that many people don’t know about.
